In today’s Daily Fix:Mortal Kombat 1’s aggressive monetization really seems to be getting out of hand. Via the Nintendo eShop, the standalone Omni-Man DLC price was revealed, and the character is somehow cheaper than his voice announcer pack. In other news, nominees for The Game Awards have been revealed, with heavy hitters like Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Alan Wake 2, Spider-Man 2, and Baldur’s Gate 3 getting nods. You can see the full list of categories and nominees on IGN.com. It’s been a great year for games; congratulations to all those nominated. And finally, Remedy Entertainment has announced its ditching the free-to-play structure of its upcoming multiplayer game. It will now be a “premium” title, so we can probably expect it to retail for about $60-$70 USD.
