On today’s Daily Fix:Smite is back! The third-person MOBA that launched back in 2014 is getting a sequel. You can sign up for the alpha playtest when it becomes available later this Spring. In other news, massive layoffs across the tech and gaming industries have not stopped in the new year. Twitch recently announced a 35% reduction in their workforce, amounting to 500 positions being eliminated. Twitch boss Dan Clancy remarked that the company is still too big, but despite not being profitable, there’s no risk of them being cut loose by parent company Amazon. And finally, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered has a new playable character: the game’s composer, Gustavo Santaolalla. He’ll be playable in the game’s guitar mode.
